I'm Elaine
A little about me
Let's go deep. Photography is innately vulnerable. I long for stories that make me feel. To feel the beauty of God's creation. As someone who has really struggled, and honestly still struggles with feeling beautiful my goal is to make everyone who steps in front of my camera to feel as beautiful as our God sees us. This is my world view. WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL. Every one of us has a story to tell. You are safe and cared for in front of my lens. You are loved.
Photography came into my life unexpectedly but when I look back has always been a constant. When I was little my dream job was to be a Wildlife Photographer. Of course that changed and I found myself pursuing paths I should not have taken, but here I am now. Years later and I might not be doing Wildlife Photography, but I love capturing the emotion of humans and the beauty of human beings.

Tender moments in the fading light of dusk. Fleeting looks that bring forth butterflies reminding you of your youth. Dancing in the refrigerator light as the world quiets. These are the mundane moments that we tend to forget. Love can be loud, but it can also be quiet and comfortable.
There is nothing I love more than capturing the essence of who a person is. the complexities of what makes you unique are what I aspire to immortalize. These stories that we have will be passed down for generations to come. So, lets capture the story of your lives together.

Mentally I am in a cottage in the woods with animals outside my windows
My entire life is centered around my Heavenly Father. I would not be where I am or standing today if not for Him. This is what sparked my interest in photography to begin with. I feel connected to the Lord out in the open air where the birds are singing and the sunshine is on my face. I wanted to capture that feeling to remember forever. That is where my love of photography began.
I always say that I have grandma hobbies. If I am not spending time with friends or family you would find me reading a book or working on a cross stitch project that has been laying around for months. My hands crave movement so I also find joy in crocheting.
With my husband being an airline pilot, we have been blessed with the opportunity to travel quite a bit. Seeing the world and all of God's creation has been an experience I will never take for granted.

My goal is for you to feel comfortable and seen when you are in front of my camera. I strive to provide a warm and calming presence to the day. When you stand before my camera I want you to know that I am on your side and will do my absolute best to make sure you feel beautiful.
Rain, hail or shine I will make sure to capture all the tiny moments. Your life is a movie and the weather can be a soundtrack that enhances the overall message, so don't be afraid of the rain!
My goal is to mix candid interactions along with styled poses. Most of the shoot will be me third wheeling your ideal date night, but with guidance to ease any worries of feeling awkward. My hope is you to let loose and be your authentic self in front of me.
